How to use Ledger device with VideoCoin
Ledger Nano S and VideoCoin Ledger desktop wallet will give access to your assets in VideoCoin’s Network while securing your private key.
Requirements:
A computer with at least macOS 10.9, Windows 8 (64-bit) or Linux Ubuntu 16.10 (64-bit).
An internet connection and an available USB port.
A ready to use Ledger Live application.
Ledger Nano S device initialized.
Install the VideoCoin App on Ledger Nano S
Open the Manager in Ledger Live.
Connect and unlock your Ledger Nano S.
If asked, allow the manager on your device by pressing the right button.
Find VideoCoin in the app catalog.
Click the Install button of the app.
An installation window appears.
Your device will display Processing.
The app installation is confirmed.
Desktop wallet setup
Download the VideoCoin wallet.
Install or unzip the downloaded file.
Accessing your wallet
Open the Ledger Live app.
Connect and unlock your Ledger Nano S.
A list of VideoCoin address will be shown:
If this your first account, only one address will be available.
Another address will be made available on the list when the previous address is activated.
To activate the address, you need to receive VID from another account/exchange.
4. Once you click “Open wallet”, you will be required to confirm the address in your Ledger device. After verifying that the address on the screen matches the one in your device, use the right button to confirm.
5. The dashboard will load your wallet information.
